Here is an Augmented Reality tribute to Surreal Art.

Every first Thursday of the month, San Francisco Exploratorium hosts the After Dark event, a science and art event for adults only. The purpose is to encourage the fun and child in us to explore science and technology.

This past Thursday event  was quite special. Rob Rothfarb, director of web development,  used augmented reality and the junaio app to create tributes to three surrealist artists. In one of these creations, the viewer was stalked by one of Salvador Dali’s giant ants. In another, Man Ray augments colors and animates the weather. And on the third Magritte’s famous apple face could be superimposed onto a visitor.
