Audi‘s once a year press conference, held to present the company’s annual report, usually attracts a lot of national and international media attention. This year, as an added treat for attending journalists, they were handed an Augmented Reality enhanced photo booklet powered by leading mobile AR browser junaio.
The booklet contained information on the company and its products. For smartphone users the images presented inside triggered additional digital information when viewed through the smartphone camera. Instructions for downloading junaio were provided. After searching for the “Audi Augmented Reality” channel, viewers could enjoy videos of Audi’s great car models and other digital information about manufacture and ergonomics.
Using a technology like junaio for an event of this kind is in line and consistent with Audi’s strategy of “Audi Connect”, the path to networked mobility.
