Yesterday I decided to stop by the local Occupy San Francisco event- luckily for me I had a junaio channel to lead me there.
For those of you unfamiliar with the movement, Occupy Wall Street began as a reaction by the “99%” to the growing income inequality between them and the top 1% of the US, who control around 40% overall of the total wealth.

Since its inception in September, “Occupy” events, protests and marches have spread all over the country and even the world. The growth in just a few months has been quite remarkable, and the media attention and general attendance has only risen. So how do you get involved, or easily locate your local protest in your major city? Check out this junaio channel, “Occupy” by Certified Developer The Heavy Projects. Using location-based AR, it will show you where are all of the Occupy events are occurring (even in other cities) along with contact information, web resources and even a direct THP has created some very cool things for junaio in the past, including the AR Ad Takeover in Times Square.
It’s great to see junaio developers utilizing this
interface for political and activist resources. Mobile technology has the potential to unite a vast number of people in a common goal- we already have incredible information sharing possibilities with outlets like Twitter and Facebook. AR holds the same untapped power to allows millions of people to access and experience context-aware, relevant news and information.
