metaio / junaio press recap:
interTrend won the Multicultural Excellence Award for Digital Media for their Hatsune Miku campaign that used metaio’s junaio Plugin. Congratulations on their great work.
Our partner Dante Technologies announced a mobile app using metaio’s junaio Plugin for Brother’s new line of Inkjet Printers.
Great article in German Mobile Business about junaio and metaio’s mobile AR technology (in German, but if you use Google Chrome it will translate it for you)
Check out SCARLET’s ongoing work with junaio in education, as they continue to add resources for researchers to access Special Collections materials.
Our junaio Certified Developers Augmented Minds launched a project last week augmenting over 3.5 million copies of goldenpages for Belgium and Ireland. Congratulations on their success! Check the link above to learn more about the mobile apps they developed.
From outside our ecoystem:
Great review of our favorite AR toy, the Parrot AR Drone, by Lester Madden over at Augmented Planet. Also, don’t forget to vote in the Augmented Planet Reader’s Choice Awards for metaio and junaio!
**Fantastic article about Jan Torpus’s LifeClipper3 project he demonstrated at this year’s ISMAR from Augmented.org (video at the top)
We don’t really agree with this post, but a nice overview in Fast Company by Howard Lindzon of current Augmented Reality efforts out there (including a few shout-outs to metaio, junaio, and the lovely Danika Berlin)
Non-AR pick:
How cool would it be if AR Goggles looked like this in the future? These are unfortunately not a secret prototype but a very expensive pair of Paul Smith sunglasses. We can dream, can’t we?
If you have a suggestion for Weekest Links, tweet at us @metaioUS or @junaio, or leave a note for us on Facebook- we don’t mind a little help!

Hi Guys,
thanks for mentioning once again. Great projects and nice to see others using your junaio plugin as well. We’ve created and uploaded a short demonstration video for the goldenpages Augmented Reality features. Check it out on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/AugmentedMinds?feature=mhee
Cheers,
Rainer
