For the Weekend: Connecting the Dots with junaio

It’s as easy as…well…you know.

Print this out to enjoy the experience at home.

Developer Sander Veenhof has created this very cool junaio art installation in Den Bosch, NL. An homage to Eadweard Muybridge, this channel uses junaio to display sequential photographs of a man on horseback. As the viewer moves along the dots, he or she will see the next photograph in the sequence.

Augmented reality is by nature a very technically-driven industry, and the R&D labs at metaio are constantly trying to devise new ways of using information from on-board sensors and mobile cameras. What’s amazing about this experience is how it creatively utilizes the natural movement of the user, something that anyone with a mobile phone can understand immediately.

Check out the videos:

Check out the photos below of the installation, and print out the marker array to try out the experience for yourself. Scan the image, or search for “Motion Pictures”.
