Where in the world is augmented reality?

Today we bring you this unique use of augmented reality print and junaio as a storytelling device. Graphic designer and developer Mario Quintana has produced this very cool graphic novel, entitled Diego and Dario, with video, animations and audio integrated right into a junaio channel.

Quintana tried to ensure that the extras unlocked with junaio would enhance and progress the story, making it one of the first Augmented Reality Graphic novels, especially powered by junaio. “My intention with AR was to add value to the story without distracting the reader form the actual plot,” Quintana told us.

This year visitors to insideAR will get a special treat, as Quintana will be presenting the first official copy of the graphic novel to all conference attendees, who will be able to get a first-hand experience of the story and augmentations.

We’re very pleased to have Mario joining us, wish him the best with his future projects.  We’ll let you know when the final novel is published, but in the meantime check out the  video above, along with two teaser images from the upcoming publication (as well as the QR code for easy access to the channel).
