About

junaio® is the world’s most advanced augmented reality (AR) browser and open development platform with the most diverse array of capabilities. 2D image recognition and tracking, QR code reading, barcode reading, navigational and GPS overlays, indoor navigation and coming soon- 3D object recognition.

With junaio® you can easily augment magazines, newspapers, television, product packaging, and point-of-sale displays. junaio® can be used to overlay a camera view with geo-tagged information describing one’s immediate surroundings. You can use the SCAN function to instantly launch any AR content from an image in the junaio® database.

Now with the junaio® Plugin, developers, brands and agencies can import interactive AR experiences directly into existing iOS and Android apps efficiently and cost effectively. The modular structure allows for convenient content swapping, and the initial Plugin gets submitted to the various App stores as an update, so the content gets to your users quicker and more conveniently than building a separate mobile app from scratch.

junaio® is produced and curated by metaio, the worldwide leader in advanced augmented reality solutions.

The newest version of junaio® is available to download for free for iOS and for Android.

Is it possible to import it’s own 3D content in Junaio ?

We support .obj for static 3-D objects and .md2 for Animations. There are file size and polygon limitations, however, as junaio is a cloud-based platform and our aim is to ensure the convenient and quick delivery of mobile AR content. Have a look at our FAQs and documention on the junaio developer page, http://dev.junaio.com/ for more information.
